  1. This is a beautiful song! I use to minister songs of this type in my old church. The keyboard I used to play in church, when I had a music ministry, was very expensive. It was a Korg X-50 synthesizer. It a great keyboard. It only weighs 9 pounds, which is what I needed, as it was light weight and very easy to carry. The only downside is that they were plastic keys and were not weighted keys. I now own a piano, which is not portable, but I can hear the tremendous difference in the sound. They are not only weighted, but the keys are made of wood. Sometimes I would record my playing in service to hear what I sounded like and how I could improve. Oh my goodness! Whenever I would play hard on the keys to build up the song, I could hear that my fingers sounded like I was just banging on those plastic keys! I then thought of purchasing a keyboard with heavy weighted keys, but that would increase the weight of the keyboard and that would have been too heavy for my hands and back, since I have back issues and some arthritis on my hands. Perhaps worship leaders and teachers need to be aware of this and if you can get someone to help you carry the instrument, you can purchase a keyboard with weighted keys. Record your playing and test out the keys at the music store, before you purchase a keyboard. It will enhance your playing and make you sound richer. Hope this helps someone.

    1. That’s so interesting, Miriam! Thanks so much for sharing that! And yes, you can sometimes hear me pressing hard on those plastic keys 😀 Maybe one day I’ll get a keyboard with weighted keys too!
